Evan E. Fleming is an Architectural Designer in Seattle, WA.
Evan received his five-year Bachelors of Architecture degree from the University of Oregon in 2018. He excelled at exploration in his design studios and always forged strong, discussion-rich relationships with his instructors. He was particularly inspired by a design studio in Vicenza, Italy, becoming immersed in the superb order of Andrea Palladio’s works. Other great influences are Le Corbusier, Alvar Aalto, Álvaro Siza and OMA.
Evan apprenticed for one year in Sonoma County, CA, with Obie G. Bowman, a highly-regarded Sea Ranch architect. Under Bowman’s direction, he discovered the immense value of thorough communication and ongoing self-examination in architecture, and worked closely with clients, builders, engineers and consultants, and governing agencies throughout the various phases of several projects.
Born and raised in Seattle, WA, Evan graduated from Ballard High School in 2013. Introduced to the outdoors at a young age by his father, John, also a well-regarded Seattle architect and artist, he has enjoyed climbing, skiing and traversing the high country of the Cascades for as long as he can remember. Also a great lover of music, Evan began cello lessons at the age of 8 and went on to be a cello section leader in orchestras during high school and university. He also plays guitar and bass and always delights in making new musical friends.
